Bio

Alexandra K. Smith joined Horing Welikson Rosen & Digrugilliers PC as an associate in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Alexandra spent over six years as in-house counsel and three years as General Counsel for one of New York City’s largest landlords, managing a complex real estate portfolio across the five boroughs. During those years, Alexandra worked closely with the firm as a client responsible for dozens of multi-dwelling buildings and for initiating the legal process against thousands of NYC tenants. Alexandra uses her significant background and experience to offer extensive insights into the challenges currently encountered by landlords and management companies alike.

Since joining the firm, Alexandra has become invaluable member of the team, providing guidance on the process and procedures related to landlord-tenant law, Division of Housing and Community Renewal matters, and issues related to reasonable accommodations in Human Rights law. Alexandra assists clients with inquiries related to all facets of commencing cases and aids them in navigating the complex regulatory landscape. She consistently provides creative, pragmatic and business-oriented advice to clients, with a dedication to superior customer service and sound judgment when dispensing legal advice from her years of experience as a client and attorney.

Alexandra earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she had several invaluable internships in the field of real estate. Prior to going to law school, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Pennsylvania.

Alexandra is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
