Bio

Kirk Karabelas joined the firm as a Partner in 2025, after merging his own successful practice with Horing Welikson Rosen & Digrugilliers, P.C. With over 27 years of experience as a skilled litigator, Kirk has a wide array of expertise in real estate litigation, residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and Supreme Court litigation.

As a founding member of Karabelas and Papagianopoulos, LLP, established in 2002, Kirk has a notable history of representing landlords and real estate developers throughout the five boroughs. In 2007, Kirk became Chairman of the newly-formed Alma Bank, based in Long Island City, and in April 2024, he transitioned to the role of Vice Chairman.

Kirk received his Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University, followed by his Juris Doctorate from Touro College School of Law. He is a member of the Judiciary Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York and a veteran member of the New York City and Queens County Bar Associations.
